Happy Belated Valentines Day

A little behind in posting . . . oops!

We've had a fun last couple of weeks.  Tom and Will braved the freezing cold a while back . . .

With this "heat wave" Iowa has been having the snow you see above is ALMOST gone!

Last Saturday Will and I went to J-town  for my bff's (Paige) wedding shower.  I brought Will along with the intent for Will to get to spend time with my parents once he woke up for his nap, but the kid slept for almost 4.5 hours.  At least he got to seem them while he was eating lunch.  :)

When Will and I got home, Daddy had set up Will's Christmas present from Grandpa and Grandma Linda . . . a mini jungle gym, complete with a slide (heaven for Will).  I kid you not, the Crazy went down that slide about 50 times in 10 minutes (and yes, with a ball in hand).  We are very ready to put this outside and get some fresh air!

Can you tell from the below pictures that he was in Heaven?
Paige came to spend the night with us and we were finally able to catch up on life - much needed!  The next morning we went for a nice walk OUTSIDE as it was 38 degrees, to Iowan's - that is HOT!  I think the fresh air did Will in - he took another 4 hour nap.  Spring can't come soon enough :).

We made some v-day cookies for Will to take to daycare.  Will was more interested in playing with the frosting vs. eating the cookies.  He isn't much into sweets, which is crazy as Tom and I LOVE sweets!!!!

This week I have been teaching classes at the gym after work and I tell ya, it's pretty fun but I am not liking getting home at 6:45 only to put the Crazy to bed at 7:00.  15 minutes is not enough time for me to see my little babe!  A few of the people in the class came up to me and said, "I see you all the time here but always thought your were quiet/shy".  HA! They figured out very quickly I am quite the opposite.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Check out these rockin kicks Will will be getting in the mail this weekend.  The kid has cooler shoes than his parents!

Jack Charles Jackovin

You have a name!  I know what you are thinking - Jack Jackovin?  Mom!  But little guy, nobody in heaven will make fun of your name, people are too nice up there and clearly you are having too much fun with those people because your big brother is living up to his name, CRAZY!  What were you and Grandma Jackovin doing when Will did a front flip off the couch?  What about when he ran dead smack into the stairs (yep, that will leave a mark!)?  You two need to watch him a little bit better - he clearly is not afraid of much!

This past month has been hard, really hard.  I think the reality of everything that happened is all hitting me full force and I am just sensitive to everything that involves you or about babies in general.  To the outside world I know I appear fine and I am past what happened, but I will never get past this.  Sure, time will heal, but this is a scar that will never be fully healed . . . I can't even write this without crying.  There is nothing I want more in this world then for you to be born and to live.

Love, Mommy

TGIF!

Yesterday we got this puppy in the mail . . . Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible Car Seat

I was SO excited for this to arrive.  Funny how things change when you have kids, never did I picture myself getting excited about a carseat!  I have been eyeing this carseat (Britax Roundabout 55) since Will outgrew his bucket seat.  I just couldn't spend 200+ on a carseat so I waited and waited and FINALLY I got it on sale for $150.00.  I instantly sent this on to a few friends I thought might be in need of a convertible carseat and they also purchased it.  I love saving money and glad I could help a few friends save some cashola as well!!!!  This was rated the highest for just about everything and the number one priority on my list is SAFETY!  After doing my research and calling my Dad who lives by Consumer Reports - this one is the best in my book!  I can't wait to get it installed!  I know, I am dork and I fully admit that.  :)

I also ordered a TON of flashcards and learning "toys" for Will and they couldn't have come at a better time.  Yesterday I was reading up on college tuition and started panicking about how high it is.  To top it off - I was reading the news and guess what?  Tuition is going to go up even higher.  So, we will be flashcarding it up this weekend (it's too soon to start weightlifting :)).  I have high hopes Will is going to be a jolly green giant and could get some kind of scholarship for sports, but what happens if he hates sports you ask?  Well, he better be super smart because if I want to have at least 3 kids (I would love to have 5 or 6, but I would need to win the lottery if that were the case) one of them better get a scholarship!  I know we don't have to pay for our kids college education, but our parents paid for ours so we want to do the same for our kids.  Pay it forward, right?

On a totally unrelated topic but equally as important . . . BON JOVI IS COMING TO WELLS FARGO.  I am so EXCITED!  My sisters, bff Kristina and a few of my sisters friends are going as well.  Yes, we are going to make a big event of it.  Shirts will be made, pre-party, after-party and hotel for the night.  Oh and taking a vacation day from work is going to be a must.  This was from my second concert.  Counting down the days until May 12th.  :)

And this was from my first.  We were THAT close!!!!
