Once again, as I am writing this I wonder where did the past few months go? Thanksgiving has come and gone and I realized we never said what we were thankful for at either family Thanksgiving. I take that back . . . I did say I was thankful for Sonya and while I am extremely thankful for Sonya and all my sisters for that matter, I have many other things to be thankful for this year. In fact, despite a few bumps in the road, this year has been our (I am speaking on behalf of Tom and myself :)) best year ever and I think you all know why. :)

To start my thankful "list" off . . . I am thankful that I had a very easy pregnancy/labor/delivery and an amazing husband who was right be my side through it all. What made this the best year of all is welcoming our beautiful/healthy/happy son into our lives. All of the cliches you hear parents say about their babies are all true!! He makes our heart melt all day, every day and we are so thankful God chose us to be his parents! It is so fun watching him grow and seeing that personality of his come out. He truly amazes me and I love being a Mom.

On behalf of Will - he is very thankful for everyone that came to meet him and for spoiling him with all the presents. He couldn't have better Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, adopted Aunts (name I give my close friends :)) and family friends that love him so much. With all that being said we are very thankful to have such amazing/supportive family and friends that I can't imagine my life with out!

Onto Christmas . . . :)

We had Polking Christmas at my parents yesterday and what a great time we had, but boy did it go by WAY too fast! It was fun to see Will get excited with his new toys (OK, Will gets excited about anything you stick in his face) and he was definitely spoiled! I think his favorite was Tickle Me Elmo - he just cracks up every time Elmo starts to laugh/vibrate.

Will was mesmerized by all the action from my nieces/nephews that range in ages from 7 years - 9 months . . . the 4 sisters jabbering loudly about God knows what . . . the brother-in-laws bickering about whose quarterback is better (one is a Viking, another a Packer and the hubby is a Bears fan) . . . Mom keeping herself constantly busy entertaining this family of hers that has more than doubled in size and last but not least my Dad making sure my 95 and 86 year old Grandma's had plenty of wine in their glasses. :) I can't imagine it any other way and find it hard to believe that next year Will will be the one starting all the action with his cousin Jenna! :) What did we do for entertainment before kids?

We truly have had an amazing year and we are looking forward to what 2010 will bring. As time goes by so fast I have definitely realized more than ever that life IS too short to let small stuff get to you and you really do need to enjoy your life as much as you can, be grateful for all that you have and keep the people that make you a better person as close as you can.

Enjoy the new pics and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Love, LAURA, TOM AND WILL

Will is 4 months!

Hello everyone!

Where has time gone? Will is now 4 months old and getting to be such a big boy! He had his 4 month check up today and weighed in at 16.4 pounds (76 percentile) and 27 inches long (97 percentile). He is going to be a tall one (are you surprised? :)). He had a total of 4 shots today and only cried on the last shot . . . this one must of hurt as it was the only shot that made the little guy bleed. He is now sleeping away!

Will has had a busy couple months! He went to the pumpkin patch with his cousin Kayla and Aunt Sonya. He was a Spider and Dalmation for Halloween. He had his first sleep over with Grammy and Papa Polking while his Mommy and Daddy went to Chicago to go to the Bears game with close friends. Spent a full day/evening with Grandpa and Grandma Linda. He has had lots of play dates with his cousin/best friend Jenna. He has been laughing non-stop. He has been sticking EVERYTHING in his mouth (his favorite object - his hands). He went to his first birthday party for his cousin Grace. He is chugging down 30 ounces, sleeping 10-11 hours a night and is just the best baby a parent could ask for.

He is just so much fun and constantly makes us smile. I still look at him and wonder how did we get so lucky? I sometimes get a little teary eyed with how fast he is growing - I swear he knows when those tears are coming because he just looks up at me and gives me his huge smile. He really does melt my heart and I thank God daily for him!

We are really looking forward to his first Thanksgiving and Christmas with our little guy. We hope you all are doing great and have a wonderful holiday season! We also hope to see all of you during the holiday season!!!

Take care!!!
Love,
Laura, Tom and Will.

I have to wear my Christmas jammies now because they are almost too small for me.

Hello everyone!!

Will had his 2 month check up on 9/15 and he has grown bigtime. He weighed in at 13.10 (87th percentile) and is almost 25 inches (92nd percentile). He was sleeping when they gave him his shots and woke up in a panic, made 2 little cries and fell back asleep - what a trooper. Everything else looks great - the doctor couldn't believe he eats 30 oz a day and sleeps 10 hours at night. I guess he takes after his Mommy and Daddy - we like our food and sleep too! :)

Will is full of smiles, giggles, talking, making funny faces and reaching/grabbing his toys. While I did love the little bitty stage, I love this stage just as much. He is so fun to watch and I love making him laugh. It makes our day!

We hope everyone is doing well on your end! We love visitors and so does Will!! So please stop by anytime!!

Love,
Laura, Tom and Will

All smiles for Jules and Meredith (he has had a crush on these two since he was born:)!).

Little jail bird jammies.

He loves when Mommy takes a million pictures!

I can never capture the smile - I just get the funny faces he makes when he is talking. :)

It's been a while since I last posted . . . oops! Where does the time go?? Will is going to be 4 weeks old on Monday and I can't believe how fast these past 4 weeks have gone and how much Will has and continues to change. Will had his 2 week check up and everything was great. He weighed in at 8.6 and was 21.5 inches long.

I LOVE being home with Will and I think our favorite time is our snuggle time in the morning! :) Will is doing great and is a BIG eater. Before we had to go to all measures to wake him up . . . now he can't get enough to eat. He now eats 5.5 ounces! Last night (8/7) Will slept for 8 HOURS and then fell back asleep after he ate. Let's hope this continues.

Enjoy the pics! Hope all is going well with everyone.

Love - Laura, Tom and Will.

Jenna and Will are going to be BEST FRIENDS! :)

Grammy came to visit and let us go on a date.

Will was baptised with his cousin Jenna. Will's Godparents are Uncle John and Aunt Krista.

Will slept through the entire baptism. :) Surprise I know.
